Invisibility(ies) is a series of live online conversations bringing together three to four invited collaborators at a time to speak from different positions around experiences of visibility and invisibility. Broadcast via YouTube Live, each conversation also included a public chat, allowing viewers to respond alongside the discussion.
The conversations moved through family and grief, race, gender, queerness, disability, immigration, mental health, body image, and the ways bodies are read within dominant social structures. Many collaborators were artists who used their practices as points of departure rather than as subjects to be explained.
Across the series, no single definition of invisibility was established. Instead, multiple and sometimes contradictory experiences were held beside one another through conversation, artistic practice, and live audience participation.
